The Girl in the Bakery II.

The Girl in the Bakery II.

I’ve seen faces come and go
Some were fast and some were slow
Always was a little too strong
It was never right- always wrong
But then I saw your pretty smile
I’d like to sit and talk with you awhile!
Tall blue grass, a peaceful soldier
Purple boulders, four leaf clovers!
All these rare oddities
All these things I see in thee
Cause when I saw your pretty smile
I had to sit and talk with you awhile!
I’ve seen the gaping jaw of death
Eating friends in a breath
I tried to chain my howling beast
But in my sadness I had to feast
Then I saw your pretty smile
And my raging ceased awhile
It’s just another working day
The doldrums of an overacted play
But when I see you working across the way
You decorate my pointless day!
You make me paint my face a smile
I’d like to talk with you awhile!

Heaven Sent

You charged my heart with an affection smart
I delved into a black art
“I shall conjure me a thee!”
Buying Satan’s bible and every ingredient
I chopped up baby birds
I yelled out magic words
Pouring in the buzzard blood
I stirred round the brew to mud
Outside in the night
Lightening cracked with might
I stood like a bird in flight
Screaming out the final rite!
What mayhem and Hell!
The cauldron jumped and swelled
Then belched out the elixir
Coating the room with ichor
And thus arose the voice of Him
The Prince of Dark, the God of Sin
“I see to all the trouble you went,
But I can’t provide the Heaven sent.”

Sanctuary

You seem to me an angel
Perhaps because I have been so evil
Like some sanctuary
Away from my past iniquities
You frighten me!
I cannot help but laugh, thinking
That I who used a gun to kill, am scared you.

Thinking of Carol and the Beast I.

I am not the man I was before!
Blackheart is dead
The beast I’ll be no more.
